Former presidential media aide, Doyin Okupe has shared his thoughts about the emergence of Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed as the running mate to Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 presidential race.
Okupe who is the Director-General of the Obi presidential campaign team took to his Twitter account on Friday evening in excitement to say that his eyes have seen what his mind conceived.
Doyin Okupe who until his withdrawal from the position of ‘placeholder’ running mate to Obi declared that Nigeria now stands a chance of having two young brilliant and descent leaders with unquestionable integrity.
He added that the time for the youths has come.
According to him, “I thank God today. For my eyes have seen what my mind conceived. 2 young, brilliant, descent Nigerians wt unquestionable integrity,& proven ability aspiring for the Leadership of d country. For the 1st time, we will hv 2 leaders, both born after Independence. This is d season 4 d Youths.”
Peter Obi on Friday unveiled Senator Datti Baba Ahmed, a former presidential aspirant, as his running mate.
Speaking at the unveiling, Baba-Ahmed said he accepted to be Obi’s running mate because he believes in his capacity to make Nigeria live up to its billing.
He added he also trusts that Obi would not mismanage the nation’s wealth.
