Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has sparked reactions online after appearing to reject his wife’s display of affection at a recent public event.
Makinde and his wife attended the dinner and award night organised to celebrate the state’s 50th anniversary, held on Wednesday, February 4.
The host of the event asked Makinde’s wife to kiss her husband on the cheek in the full glare of the guests.
Makinde’s wife bent over to kiss him, but the Governor immediately turned his face away. She tried again and he repeated the same rejection.
Many observers claimed that the Governor was engrossed with his phone and didn’t understand what was going on.
