Morayo Afolabi-Brown has resigned from her role as the Managing Director of TVC Entertainment and host of the popular talk show, Your View.
Her departure from TVC Communications was confirmed in a statement in a statement on Tuesday with her final day set for Thursday, August 29.
Afolabi-Brown, a close associate of the Tinubu family, is leaving the station after spending 12 years leading ‘Your View’, a programme known for its female-led discussions on social and political issues.
According to TVC, Morayo made the decision to move on in order to focus on a personal project she has been working on privately.
While her exit marks the end of an era for the show, TVC assured its viewers that ‘Your View’ will continue to air as usual.
The company expressed appreciation for Morayo’s time at the station, eulogizing the impact she made during her years on air.
TVC also asked the public and media to continue supporting her as she begins a new chapter in her career.
The statement read in part: “Morayo’s decision to step down after 12 remarkable years as host of ‘Your View’ is driven by her desire to pursue a long-held passion project that she has nurtured over time. We celebrate her for the incredible impact she has made, not only on ‘Your View,’ but also to millions of viewers across Nigeria and beyond.
“Morayo will be dearly missed, however, the show remains strong and will continue to deliver the quality and relevance our audience has come to expect.”
