Unidentified gunmen have attacked Okporojo community, Oso Edda, in Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, k!lling many and kidnapping others.
The assailants are said to have ambushed the community, setting houses on fire, k!lling people and whisking others away.
The gunmen allegedly beheaded five persons and took their heads away.
In a viral video circulating online, houses were seen in flames, as the residents of the community called on the state government and security agencies for help.
At the time of filing this report, the Ebonyi State Police Command and the state government are yet to issue any statement regarding the incident.
Some online media outlets however, allege that the clashes are intercommunal.
