Men of the Nigerian Police Force, today, caught a man with charms and dangerous weapons at the All Progressives Congress National (APC) Convention holding at Eagles Square in Abuja.
Some touts who also tried to invade the venue were apprehended with dangerous weapons.
According to reports, the thugs ranging over 200 were arrested at the venue and taken to the station in police vans.
The man with charms and knives, among other dangerous weapons, was also whisked away by the police.
The Security operatives had a hard time containing the violent operation that miscreants had planned to disrupt activities.
Shortly before kickoff, there was chaos as the thugs did everything possible to unleash mayhem.
They were however met with the stiff resistance of the police and other security operatives who repelled them fiercely before releasing teargas to disperse them.
The operatives then took control of all exit and entry gates while the event successfully kicked off as scheduled by 3:30pm.
