An image of a local deity also known as juju in front of a police station has caused quite a stare.
People got talking when an armed police officer posed in front of the juju with his hand confidently on it.
Residents are reported to say that the police resorted to native spiritual means to protect themselves form incessant attacks by unknown gunmen in the state.
Police stattions across the South East have been attacked severally in the past couple of months. In some cases, an entire station is burnt down and scores of officers killed.
Rarely does anyone know those behind the attacks. members of the public believe that the juju will scare the gunmen away from the stations.
