The immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has melted hearts after revealing how and where he met his wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai.
He said that the former First Lady of Kaduna State was his University classmate and teenage sweetheart.
Nasir El-Rufai made the revelations while celebrating Hadiza on her birthday on Saturday June 21, 2025.
Nasir El-Rufai tweeted: SPECIAL BIRTHDAY PRAYERS: Please join me and members of the El-Rufai Family to wish my best friend, university classmate, teenage sweetheart and dearest wife, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai a very happy birthday. We pray for Almighty Gid to continue to bless her with good health, long life and happiness.
Hadiza is a bundle of brains, beauty and brawn, holder of three masters’ degrees – in architecture, business administration, and creative writing – fluent in French and a published novelist. I am immensely proud to call her my wife, my partner and enduring pillar of support.
My life began to have meaning when married nearly 40 years ago. She is a taskmaster and disciplined organizer of our home.
