The Senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ireti Kingibe, has recounted a tense phone conversation with the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, which reportedly escalated into a heated shouting match.
While speaking on Channels Televisionās āPolitics Todayā programme on Friday, Kingibe said she repeatedly called Wike over an urgent matter, but he ignored the calls.

The lawmaker stated that when Wike eventually answered the call, both parties raised their voices during the exchange before ending the conversation.
She added that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, later intervened by initiating a three-way call, which helped to resolve the issue.
She said, āI have Wikeās number, and he has mine number too. I know I have the right number. I have called him before. He didnāt answer, and I kept calling and calling till he picked up the phone.
āAnd then he proceeded to yell at me. We yelled at each other for a few minutes, and we put the phone down. Then the senate president now intervened and did a three-way call, and we resolved the issue, because for me, that issue was urgent, and thatās why I called him. And I was determined that he was going to pick it up.
āI said, are you in your office? Let me come and see you. He said, no, no, no, donāt come yet here. That was the conversation. He sounded as if I was going to harm him.”
