The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, arrived in Akure, Ondo State capital, this Sunday afternoon to solicit the support of the leaders of Afenifere ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has met with with the leader of the pan-Yoruba organisation, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti who gave him his blessings as expected.
The Director, of Media & Publicity, APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, revealed earlier that Tinubu would present his recent publication to the Afenifere stakeholders.
The document contains details of how he intends to improve the economy of Nigeria if elected to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in the coming elections.
Tinubu was given a warm welcome upon his arrival at the South-West state today as residents troop out in their numbers to welcome him.
In the entourage of the former Lagos State Governor to the state were Chief Bisi Akande, Senator Adeyeye, and Senator Iyiola Omisore, among others.
