Gunmen suspected to be bandits terrorists have abducted many students of Government Day Secondary School Kaya, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
Maradun is the home town of the State Governor, Bello Matawalle.
A resident told Premium Times that the the students were abducted, today Wednesday afternoon.
“According to him, “I don’t know how many of them have been kidnapped but I’m sure some of the teachers and and students ran home.
Other sources say that the gunmen broke into the school on Wednesday morning.
As usual, they arrived on many motorcycles and started shooting sporadically in the air.
A report monitored on SaharaReporters said that, “there was abduction of students just now in Kaya town, just now in Kaya town, Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara state. The gunmen who were in large number came to Kaya Junior Secondary School and abduct large number of students,”a source told SaharaReporters.
Zamfara is mostly populated with the Hausa and Fulani people.
