No less than 6 people have been confirmed dead in a fire that broke out in the Adeola Odeku area of Victoria Island, Lagos.
Reports say that the fire gutted a building suspected to be occupied by a bank. A number of cars parked in the premises were also consumed by the inferno.
Firefighters from the nearby Eko Hotel and Suites unsuccessfully tried to put out the fire.
At the time of this report, it was not clear if the fire outbreak has been completely brought under control.
