A video has a emerged of the moment Sherrif Oborevwori Speaker of the Delta State House of assembly knelt to thank his principal during a thanksgiving service.
The acclaimed candidate, anointed by the incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Okowa went straight to Church in thanksgiving to GOD after clinching the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket on Wednesday.
His gesture, expertly drew public reaction as many wondered about the reason for the excitement and extreme show of gratitude to the Governor.
Oborevwori polled 590 votes to beat his closest rival, David Edevbie, commissioner for finance during the James Ibori administration, who polled 113 votes.
PDP returning officer, Ndubisi Nwobu announced the results on Wednesday, where he noted that a total of 824 delegates were accredited for the primary.
Shortly after the result was announced, Okowa and Oborevwori attended the thanksgiving service together held at the government house chapel in Asaba, the Delta capital.
