There have been mixed reactions as suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari gets linked to a massive consignment of illegal drug, Tramadol in Lagos.
Reports say that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has commenced investigations into the discovery.
They claim that the embattled Intelligence Response Team boss failed to report the seizure of the drugs to the the anti-graft agency.

“The consignment of tramadol was imported into Nigeria via a drug dealer who professed to be a pharmacist. A party to the deal snitched on the drug cartel by bringing Abba Kyari and his boys to the warehouse. To effect the double-cross, IRT played a fast one by confiscating the drugs and not reporting to the NDLEA.
“The drugs might have been sold & proceeds shared between stakeholders. Like I mentioned earlier, the NDLEA is now drilling on the case looking for more dirt. The way things are going, IPOB as alleged by Kyari must have had serious beef with him to drag him into such mess.
“But then, how could a stunt like this take place without the NDLEA, Customs, Police and other relevant security agencies knowing? If this is a script to keep Kyari away from being extradited to the US, then I must say that, the scriptwriter must be from Bollywood.”
Vanguard, on its part said that sources close to NDLEA disclosed that the Kyari team had been linked to the alleged seizure of a large consignment of Tramadol in a warehouse at the Amuwo-Odofin area of Lagos
The source disclosed that the consignment of Tramadol was worth ₦3billion and it was imported into the country by a pharmacist last year.
Nigerians have now taken to Twitter to express their views on the alleged involvement of Abba Kyari in the seizure of the large consignment of the illegal drug.

@jaycloud7 wrote: “Everything Nigeria Government is doing is to jail this guy in Nigeria, so he won’t be able to go get his case in the US, if he is Jailed in Nigeria he will be out in a few years ahead, all these new charges are planned.”
@BOnilenla wrote: “Discovery or no discovery, let Kyari be extradited to have his day in America. That is what will earn us international integrity. When he is done doing his time, if ever he does, he will return to Nigeria to face his charges.”
