Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote has narrated how music superstar and his godson, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido rejected his offer of $2.1 million insisting he preferred his presence.
Dangote said it was his wedding gift to the now wedded man since he would not have been able to attend the Miami event because of his tight schedule.
He said Davido and his wife, Chioma came to his house in Atlanta to invite him to their wedding. For him, it wasn’t surprising that the singer rejected the money considering his enormous wealth in every currency. He therefore, resolved to replan his schedule and travel over to Miami.
According to Dangote, “David and his beautiful wife Chioma came to visit me in my house in Atlanta with an invitation of their wedding which was to be held in Miami Florida—so I told them I’m sorry I will not be able to attend the wedding because of my busy schedule.
“So I said but I was going to support him with the sum of $2.1-Millionbut he immediately said no to the offer saying all he needed was my presence at his wedding. So I had no other choice than to be there for my godson David”.
“Truth be told Davido is a billionaire in every currency on this planet earth.”
