Veteran Nollywood actress, Olanrewaju Hassan, popularly known as Iya Awero, has spoken fondly about her long-standing relationship with fellow actor, Jide Kosoko.
Speaking during an interview with Behind The Fame African A-List, Iya Awero described Kosoko as family in every sense of the word.

“Jide is my blood, he is younger than me. I’m from Lagos — the Kosoko Morounfolu Okunoye family — so we are the same,” she said.
“When Jide was with us, he was our manager. Anywhere we wanted to go, he was always ready.”
The veteran actress recalled how instrumental Kosoko was in their early careers, especially in helping the group secure acting jobs.
“If we needed to get a job then and Jide wrote the proposal, we would get it,” she said.
“He had a lot of ideas, just like Oga Bello. They both had so many stories in their heads.”
Iya Awero noted that while Kosoko and others contributed intellectually to the scripts and proposals, her passion was more on-stage.
“As for me, I was all about the acting and the costumes — what would be used and how it would be used,” she added.
