Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has debunked reports that she claimed not to have been married despite being the toast of admirers in her younger days.
It was widely reported by mainstream and online media over the weekend that the 48-year-old actress regretted her single status.
The news quoted her as alleging that: “I used to be the centre of attention, the most admired, the most talked about in my youthful days. Beauty opened many doors. I was loved, I was desired,” Vanguard quoted her as saying. “But guess what? I’m still not married.”
She was also alleged to have said that: “Some came for the face, not the soul. Some wanted the shine, not the substance. I learned the hard way that a woman must be more than just beautiful,”
Reacting to the false reports in a post on Instagram, she threatened to sue blogs spreading such news.
“I kindly request you to take down this post within 24 hours to prevent further action involving my legal team.
“I don’t appreciate the fact that you are using my name to peddle false news and articles with no verifiable source just to generate engagement.”
