Veteran Nollywood star Yemi Solade recently reflected on his past and how aging has reshaped his lifestyle relationships.
In a conversation featured on Behind The Fame TV, published on YouTube on Saturday, July 12, 2025, the actor opened up about his early exposure to romantic relationships.

He revealed that he was quite outgoing and had numerous interactions with women in his younger days. However, now that he is in his 60e, he admits that age has significantly slowed him down.
During the interview, when asked about his current relationship status, Solade made it clear that although he receives admiration from several women, particularly those who appreciate his work in film, he no longer engages in romantic relationships. He explained that his energy levels have changed over the years and that he no longer has the physical or emotional capacity to maintain multiple relationships.
He added that some women find his straightforward nature uncomfortable, especially when they express interest in him. According to him, these women often feel embarrassed by how he responds, but he insists he’s just being honest and true to himself.
He said that “I have more than two female admirers, there are a lot of them that admire my film making skills, but I don’t have any girlfriend. I started womanizing early in my life, I’m over 60 now, I don’t have strength anymore. Some ladies usually accuse me of being too blunt, and they always say that I used to embarrass them whenever they made their feelings known to me.”
