U.S. Congressman representing Southeast Michigan, Rep. John James, has stated that 72% of Christians k!lled globally were m*rdered in Nigeria.
The lawmaker made the claim in post on X while reacting to a report purporting that Nigeria has been named the epicenter of global k!lling of Christians.
He described the alleged mass*cre of Christians in Nigeria as targeted systematic persecution.
He wrote, “I’ve been raising the alarm on the persecution of Christians in Nigeria for years.
“The facts are undeniable: 72% of Christians k!lled globally were murdered in Nigeria.
“This is targeted, systematic persecution. The United States and the world must not look away”.
The claim of Christian genocide by some lawmakers in the United States have been vigorously denied by the Nigerian government.
The government believes that the security crisis affects all religions in the country and has no specific target on any group.
