A 48-year-old Nigerian man identified as Noel Njoku has been shot and killed in MitchellVille, Maryland, USA on Thursday morning, August 12, 2021.
According to police reports, he was working as a deliveryman and had gone to deliver to a home in a car in the 3700 block of Lottsford Vista Road when the incident occurred.
He was found with gunshot wounds at about 12:20am in the car. It is not yet clear why Njoku was shot or who killed him.
His brother, Chidi Njoku told newsmen that “Noel was a happy, peace-loving person who moved to the US from Nigeria decades ago. He had only recently started working for DoorDash
“Please anybody who has information, please, please, please, – anybody who has any information should come and help us,”
“Please, anybody who has any information, please, please, please — anybody who has any information should come and help us out, please,” he said through tears.
