The former Anambra State Governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has issued a bold challenge to his critics over the weekend.
He gave the only condition under which he will to step down from the 2027 presidential race.
Responding to questions from Channels Television anchor, Seun Okinbaloye, who asked him if he was part of a “criminal gang” as alleged by opposition voices, Peter Obi fired back with confidence:
“I am not a criminal. My public and private life are open for anyone to check. I governed Anambra State for 8 years and never took a kobo that didn’t belong to me as a governor. Even in my years in corporate and private business, my records are clean and available.
“If anyone can point to just one place where I stole money — either as a governor or as a private citizen — I will step down from contesting the 2027 presidential election.” Peter Obi
