A police stray bullet has hit and killed a 14-year-old girl at Ojota while security operatives dispersing protesters this afternoon.
Reports say the young yogurt seller simply identified as Jumoke was hit in the stomach by the bullet while displaying her wares at a shop.
Her lifeless body was soon covered with a piece of cloth while sympathisers gather at the spot mourning her tragic death.
The protests which started with processions, singing and dancing soon became rowdy the moment the police and other security agents began shooting guns and tear gas.
The police also fired hot water cannons at the crown and made some arrests.
The young girl’s body was soon taken away in police van t an unknown location.
